1 When Doves Cry
2 The Beautiful Ones 3 Computer Blue 4 Let's Go Crazy 5 Baby I'm A Star 6 Take Me With U 7 Darling Nikki 8 Purple Rain 9 I Would Die 4 U Purple Rain sounds a lot like Journey's "Faithfully." At least the guitar part. Funny, Phil Collins remade Purple Rain, calling it "I Wish It Would Rain Down." Eric Clapton plays the guitar part, and it sounds just like PR. Having Rain in the title doesn't help. I always wonder why Prince didn't sue. He'll sue fans 4 damn near anything, but then again, maybe he's afraid Journey would counter-countersue. And...listen 2 the drum programming on "Sussudio" from Phil Collins....sounds like some1 has been listening 2 "1999." Although Purple Rain is not exactly the most original sounding song ever, he has sometimes taken the guitar solo 2 unbelievable heights. The Tampa and Bossier City shows this year R prime examples of him transcending this song beyond the album version. | |
