my guilty pleasure: the emancipation album. don't get me wrong: it is one of his best albums but there is a lot of cheese on there (that i happen to love but don't tell anyone). get yo grrove on, courtin' time, betcha by golly wow, we gets up, damned if i do, i can't make u love me, emale, holy river, la la la, da da da, my computer, one of us, emancipation. these are all really good really cheesy songs. he must have been all giddy in love when he put that together...i mean the brother went on oprah i think that says it all.

Diamonds and Pearls--I can c where it might be corny (but I LOVE it!)--when the fake trumpets come in and the whole "D to the I to the A" thing. But thats Prince chasing rap trends. The rappers had 2 spell out shit cuz they were so dumb. LOL!

Geez, I'm feeling really hurt! I actually like I Rock Therefore I Am, and I even like the Rap guy on it. And I also like I Love U in Me. I think that "I Rock..." is a catchy song, and I actually like the lyrics to "I Love U in Me" because they are so blatant at times (i.e. the thing about not cumming). I also think that some people are getting off topic. I'm embarassed by the Parade album, minus a few tracks like "Kiss", "Anotherloverholenyohead", "Girls and Boys", and "Sometimes it snows in April."

Am i the only one that thought NPS was an awesome album? now i thought that was neo-classic funk on there....had the black thang goin' on and certainly did it for me....so undeservingly bashed....and emancipation could have been his ultimate 2 disc set of full force amazing P music....and one can laugh and/or criticize his rapping, but i like it better than someone you can't understand at all, like busta and ludacris....."God Bless America, home of the brave!"

But i will agree with you on:
i rock therefore i am....like someone said earlier....awesome title....cheezy and crappy song....tries to sound fresh and just isn't....

and worst album in my book was RAVE unto the Joy Fantastic.....some good songs on there.....but man, it's worst by far for me.....and yes, i would rather listen to chaos and disorder than RaVE....even COME i'd rather listen 2.....i felt that prince always succeeded with every album he put out, regardless of whether it was even that great....you could still give him props.....but on RAVE, it was like he wasn't himself and there on that one....give or take a few tracks on that album, he didn't show up like the Prince we all know and love.....just my opinion.....but some of the songs he sings live off that album.....wish he'd put more soul into that song on the album like he does live sometimes.....love all y'all! T-O-DoubleD

Altho, when The Most Beautiful Girl came out, I was kinda embarassed since all that people knew about Prince at that time seemed 2 be that one song. And they all kept asking "So, U like Prince? That "Beautiful" song is so horrible".

And they were right. If he'd released a kick ass single after that, it would've been fine. But now, the only thing people remembered 4 several years was that awful sappy song. It's actually one of the very few songs that I can't stand.

Uhm, the Vangelis/Marillion-stuff on TRC, and that means most of the album, I would not play in front of my friends - actually I wouldn't play it at all.

Other goodies:

We Gets Up, New World, Courtin Time, The Human Body, Slave, Saviour, The Plan (man, and these are only the ones from Emancipation!), The Latest Fashion, Push, Animal Kingdom, Hot Witchoo, If You Love Somebottey, Thunder, Can't Stop This Feeling I Got (album version), Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic (album version), My Little Pill, Walk Don't Walk, The Max, Papa, Girl and last, but not least: Wherever U Go, Whatever U Do.

That being said, I personally dig I Rock..., Damned If I Do..., Scarlet Pussy (especially the "meeaw!") Good Love and I Love U In Me. Thieves in the Temple and TMBGITW are classics!
