you just might be the only one who will admit it out loud.

The movie is what it is. A movie. A story. A vision. Prince's music.

My wife really likes the movie. I think it's fine. Kinda an interesting film all around.

The story is actually very spiritual and the characters are as well. If you look at it with an open mind.

Rated PG-13..Pretty tame, huh..I mean it's Prince, right...what year? '90.
Okay..Positivity, right?! I like the shot of the doves....
I disagree about the hair, everyone's gets on the hair...his hair's great, as usual. The only bad hair is Morris' pompadour with the little tail. He should lose the tail. I think it's cute that Ingrid has bony legs..and she's a natural beauty, AND an "unknown". I'd forgotten what a stunning face she has. In Alex Hahn's book, he states that Madonna was a choice for Aura. Geez, I think she would've ruined any chance for the sort of chemistry I saw between Ingrid & Prince. I think they looked good together. Go figure. Morris Day is hilarious just sitting still. And Tevin Campbell is adorable. It IS pretty hard to imagine Prince hauling Ingrid over his back, "groovin" along in high heels, no less. Would any of you guys do that? If you COULD?!
The Thieves in The Temple dance scene is one of the best features in the whole piece.
Then the Joy in Repetition thing...I think the "love scenes" are hotter than any others I've seen Prince do, and they're fully clothed..amazing. The Question of U, the scene outside with Prince & Ingrid seems pretty much the whole point of the excercize. That a writer's sometimes blocked or uninspired. He needs a reason to keep pushing on, like we all do. One's friends, adversaries, competition, lovers are all fodder for inspiration. I guess mostly the men would rather see the soft porn type love scene, al a Purple Rain...more boobs, less subletety. It's rated PG-13, right? What is your 13 yr old watching?
Favorite songs:
1.The Question of U
2.Joy in Repetition
3.Thieves in the Temple
4.We Can Funk
5.Still Would Stand All Time
6.Elephants & Flowers
7.Melody Cool
8.Graffiti Bridge
In the end...just a story, just a showcase for his music? He still remains a writer who's not easily outdone. I mean, talented, passionate, daring...would you do it, if you could?
