There are probably any number of great drinking games for this movie. Drink a shot everytime Prince looks like a wounded puppy; drink a shot everytime the scenery looks fake, etc.[/quote]

I always thought a ROcky Horror Picture Show thing would be the only thing to save the film. But even then we'd have to talk over the movie.

At least RHPS had good musical scenes.

The scene where Prince walks into Morris' club while they are counting money, leans against the wall, throws his head back like Vinnie Barbarino on "Welcome Back Kotter" and goes YOOOWWWWW!!!!!

This is also my favorite scene when Morris reads his ass and says "I'll kick your little ass and have you runnin' back to mama good and plenty fast!"

1) The Elephants and Flowers scene where people kept walking out of the club even though you never saw them in the club. And the naked people dancing...unintentionally hilarious.

it was eerie cuz 10 of the 15 people in the theater i was in walked out at the same time.

The movie is what it is. A movie. A story. A vision. Prince's music.

My wife really likes the movie. I think it's fine. Kinda an interesting film all around.

***The scene where Prince smiles as Aura leaves the club with Morris Day.Then,a few moments later,he is shown on top of the roof, acting all hurt and rejected, singing "Thieves In The Temple",lol.

***The scene where Prince, dressed in that ridiculous outfit,is shown carrying Aura out of Morris's house

***The scene where Robin performs the song "Number One" in front of Morris,as they're getting ready to make love.

***In the same scene,Robin asks Morris "What's up with you and this half-and-half bitch?".Is she implying that Ingrid is racially mixed??

***The sad scene where Jill Jones gets her "big break",performing the song "Love Machine" with The Time. Her performance consists of her lip-syncing the first chorus of the song, before Ingrid takes over the rest of the song with Morris...lol...

***The scene where Mavis clearly has a cold, sounding incredibly hoarse...lol....can't remember the exact scene, but it's obvious that she wasn't feeling well the day they shot that scene.

***The oh-so-dramatic scene where Robin tearfully pleads with Morris,"Let him keep his club",as "Still Would stand All Time" plays in the background...lol

The funny thing is P often tends to crack smile whenever he feels "hurt" or slighted. Witness the way he smirks when The Time make fun of him in Purple Rain, when Billy Sparks rubbishes P's performance of "Darling Nikki", and also when P pleads with Apollonia not to hit the bottle in the scene under the bridge.

***The scene where Robin performs the song "Number One" in front of Morris,as they're getting ready to make love.

I actually thought that was one of the funnier moments of the movie.

***In the same scene,Robin asks Morris "What's up with you and this half-and-half bitch?".Is she implying that Ingrid is racially mixed??

Ingrid is Mexican-American. But it's a moot point since most dialogue in a Prince movie does not necessarily have to reflect reality nor make any sense whatsoever...

***The sad scene where Jill Jones gets her "big break",performing the song "Love Machine" with The Time. Her performance consists of her lip-syncing the first chorus of the song, before Ingrid takes over the rest of the song with Morris...lol...

Remarkably, the female vocal on "Love Machine" both Jill and Ingrid lip-synch to is by Elisa Fiorillo...

***The scene where Mavis clearly has a cold, sounding incredibly hoarse...lol....can't remember the exact scene, but it's obvious that she wasn't feeling well the day they shot that scene.

Have you seen the Omnibus docu? That's her normal speaking voice.

***The oh-so-dramatic scene where Robin tearfully pleads with Morris,"Let him keep his club",as "Still Would stand All Time" plays in the background...lol

Okay. I love this movie, even from way back in the day. For some reason, even though the set was crappy and the acting now all that, I got the message and that's what's mattered to me.

Still would stand all time is a beautiful heartfelt song and Tick Tick Bang is a definite fav.

I think the theatric were supposed to be just the way they are, just to see if you could see the real picture.

So, I must be crazy too, because even though it's not my absolute favorite (UTCM IS!!!!!), I did understand what he was trying to do.

And yes, I will purchase the DVD when it comes out. Now, I'll just be able to skip to TTB and watch Prince humping the floor. Come on you know that's classic shit. lol

The part when Morris pisses on that plant. To me, Morris represents Prince. The plant is Prince's career. Or maybe the plant is the movie itself. Or Prince's fans? Humanity in general? Take your pick. The bottom line is Morris Day pissing is a million times better than anything else in this Cultural Crime Against Humanity. Especially the following elements:

1) Prince hoisting Ingrid against the wall
2) All the good songs WERE NOT musical performances
3) As Anxiety said, the whole Tick Tick Bang fiasco
4) The performance of Love Machine
5) Has Prince ever even SEEN SEVEN CORNERS? It looks, well, RATHER DIFFERENT
6) George Clintion's cameo. Did he know they were filming a movie?
7) Ingrid's terrible poetry
8) The ending. Oh god, the ending
9) When Prince goes on the attack. That shit was so lame, it made his "Where r u muthafucka!?!?" spin-move in Purple Rain look impressive
10) "I told you I could rap!" Yeah, and I told you to get fucked, TC!
11) Prince's hair
12) Not directly related to the movie per se, but have you SEEN the cover to the "New Power Generation" maxi-single??? That must be the WORST Prince picture ever, Gangster Glam be damned!

Regardless, I'll be there first day to buy the DVD. It's such a terrible movie that it's good, you know? My wife almost died laughing when I showed it to her. Same goes for 3ChainsO'Gold...wish I hadn't sold that one...
