No, it is hard for the light to reflect of those strings so it's hard to pick up.

I agree, the strings are hard to see with the reflection of the light, but as a guuitarist I can certainly hear & see Prince strumming the strings in question during the song?

'B' string clearly visible on the large video downoad just before he sings 'Mirror tiles'
. ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

I think he uses electric strings for bending...thus being hard to see. Especially compared to the other 4 acoustic strings.

it was a trip from my part. It was clear he was using them on the chaka kan song. duh. beats me.

POOK said: HOLD ON NOW BOTTOM LIKE BOOTY MOVIN LOW END OR BOTTOM LIKE CLOSER TO FLOOR? Sounds like they're talking about closer to the floor. Those two strings are the thinnest (and the highest pitched, not booty movin bass), and might not be picked up on camera. I could definitely hear the high (pitch, not close to the ceiling) end when he was playing. Check this song out at:

I'm a guitarist as well and that sounds like what it is-light reflection causing it to be hard to see those strings. I've noticed in other live dvds/videos/footage for bands it's a pretty common problem for the higher strings to be harder to see. Never seen Prince with only 4 strings to my knowledge-unless he's on bass of course. Nothing to be that embarassed about 7salles-I've heard that question before from people about other bands-it can be just hard to tell sometimes cause of the damn lighting.
