Prince's Song "Eternity"

Is it rare? because i found it on the net and it said it was rare but i'm not sure at all. I've seen that name of the song somwhere, is it the one chaka khan and sheena easton sung? that was called eternity right? so when was it written and stuff

It's the same song, Prince version is unreleased (i.e. you downloaded an out-take 'released' on bootleg).

If memory serves its from 1987, but I never had much time for it myself, so I'm sure someone will fill in the blanks as to recording date/session.

Then Chaka thankfully gave it life on her album C.K. this is the best version of the song...well other than Prince's original version.

I Appeal Your Honour. Sheena's version is better, not so much for her voice, but the instrumentation is far classier... plus the extended version (released in the UK on 12") is even better than the album version.
