I think the number one fan could own nothing but appreciate everything they've heard.

prince does not like the word "fan" because he says it is short 4 fanatic. so i'm prince's biggest admirer

I know for sure that I'm the biggest Prince fan/admirer (whatever) out of all of my friends and people I know personally.

However, next to most of you, I pale in comparison.

I have to have some balance in my life. I have to listen to more than just Prince musically (even if I listen to more Prince than anything else). I have to watch lots of movies, see theatre, read books, watch tv, be artistic.

I can't live in a Prince cocoon. My guess is that whoever considers him/herself the biggest Prince fan has a whole room devoted to him, collects everything no matter the cost, travels around the country to see him, spends thousands of dollars a year on him.

Personally, that's living for someone else, not yourself...

...or maybe I'm just jealous because you have more money and time than me...LOL At any rate, I'll bow out of this race, but not without saying that I'm a BIG FAN!!!

Im obesessed. But i would not follow him on every single tour and spend the night outside paisley and all that shit...that's going to far.

I do have MOST everything (except for One Nite Alone). Hmm, im missing some single cd's and lots o remixes. I dont know. I'd probably be in the top 50 somewhere.

I only went as far as refering to him as 'The Artist' on these threads, and whenever I spoke of his music I've always called him Prince.

I don't think we can ever find the #1 fan, where do U draw the line between apreciation and obsession? I'm sure some ppl have done some very weird things.

As for me, well...

i'd be rather suspicious of someone who claimed numero uno status -- what, cuz they got the most 'stuff,' or had been to 353 concerts? what about those of us who have done that goddamned 'ride of shame' to paisley too many times...only to find an empty parking lot (besides a couple of other peoples trying to will a late-nite concert out of p?). yet that doesn't make us any more legit than the 12 year old who just got musicology -- never knew p. before 2000 -- and think he's the bee's knees.

so, in other words, i'm not the #1 fan of prince, and definitely ain't the biggest -- i only stand 5'10" at 160 pounds. he's my boy, and we are all FAMily -- not FANatics -- i hope...

I have a few boots...Revelations...some live stuff...I'd get more if I could get my hands on it. I have a good friend on the org who's been helping me out though.

Realistically, I'd say I'm in the top 500. There are a hell of a lot of obsessed people out there! I've only been to 3 concerts, all in May/June this year while I was on holiday in the USA. If I lived in he US or UK earlier, God only knows how many shows I would have attended. When I was living in Brisbane, Australia, I'd guess I was in the top 5 for Brisbane. Now in London, I'd guess top 20 for London.

It isnt me, thanks goodness! I dont wanna be a loopy "fam"!! I am a huge fan for sure but I havent crossed that line yet. I lost most of my Prince stuff in a fire about a month ago so all I have is 6 Musicology cds! I used to have The Black Album when it came out but I lost it when I was a kid. I hung up a poster once but my boyfriend punched a hole in it because he was jealous. I met him a few times and he's not really the nicest person but he's Prince so I guess he can do that! I've been to a lot of shows, not sure how many but defiantely more than 100, probably close to 200 if you count Paisley Park. I think it's too expensive to be the biggest fan!
