Prince - Replublican or Democrat ?

I don't want to know what his political leanings are here. I want to know if he BEHAVES like a Rep or Dem.

He behaves like a fringe party idealist.

"Whoever said Elephants are stronger then mules..."

I remember reading a review on this back in the day, and the writer quoting that line as a knock saying "the album is full of non-sense lyricals..."

I think he's a wacked out religious freak....
But I think he's been a little bit of everything.

Hes neither!!! Hes a Jehovahs Witness and they dont form any allegiances with any political party!! They are completely neutral 2 this worlds affairs as they beleive that it is Gods Kingdom and living by Gods Laws and principles that will put an end 2 this worlds problems, not man-made Goverments!!

Also I suggest that u listen 2 Dear Mr. Man on the Musicology CD, theres a couple of lyrics in there that read:

Aint no sense in voting
Same song with a different name

I think that will give u some clue as to Princes views on politics!! biggrin

In a country where George W. Bush won the elections maybe it'd be better if the people didnt vote at all.

Even if people sometimes vote for politicians like Bush (btw, did he really "win" the elections, as far as I remember there have been some obscure things going on with the counting of the votes) democracy is still the best of all possible choices we have. Especially when there are politicians like him it's important to go and vote to have a chance to make a change nod. It's great that some artists like André 3000 or Lenny Kravitz are mature enough to admit that they have been stupid not to vote for many years and now try to make young people see that they have a responsibilty to take part in elections nod.

Yes, but Prince never means what he says for long. I take EVERYTHING he sings about with a grain of salt. I mean, whether it's about the "SYMBOL" being his new name or PRINCE BEING DEAD so the NPG could live, or ..... gawd where do I stop??? lawd, I need a drink.

Judging by what little he says on the subject, and his lyrics, he see's that both parties are two sides of the same coin.

Many years ago he contributed financially to the campaign of Republican Senator Rudy Boschwitz.

Exactly, while he doesnt seem to like either party he is most definately not a Republican.

I don't give a shit what he is as long as he keeps his politics out of the music.

He said he liked Reagan better because he was a stronger leader. Or something to that nature.

Of course Prince would like Reagan.

He told Ronnie to talk to Russia, and Ronnie listened, and talked.

I personally think it would be cool for Michael Moore to do a documentary on the Crystal Ball distribution debacle.
