The albums the Glamorous Life (25107), Apollonia 6 (25108), Ice Cream Castle (25109) and Purple Rain (25110) all have consecutive catalogue numbers. Does this mean that they were all released on the same day? Or were they complete and given consecutive numbers but released on different days? According to all music guide Purple Rain was released on August 6. Does anyone have the release dates for the other albums listed above?

I think the cd was released on aug 6. However at that time casettes and vinyl were still the big sellers and the Purple Rain vinyl/casssette was released on June 25. Ice Cream Castle was released on July 9, The Glamorous Life was released on June 4, Apollonia 6 was released on oct 1. The reason they are listed together might be because thats when they came out on cd?

Hmm, thanks for the input. I think that the catalogue numbers on cd's are the same as the vinyl and cassette. That must have been a great time to be a Prince fan!

The consecutive catalogue numbers just mean that they were submitted to WB at the same time
(or to be more accurate, passed on the the scheduling team and allocated cat.no's at the same
time).
