why does't prince write back to fan or at lest send something back to them..becouse if it wasnt for us, his fans, he wouldn't be nothing.RIGHT..dont get me wrong i love him as much as any 1 eles..i been a fan 4 15 yrs, i have wrote to him 3 yrs ago and got notta back..maybe i dont have that touch.but i can at lest say that he does put on a show for his fans.... i went to memphis tnn june 14 concert. my fist concert ever...any way does he know that it hurts his fan pride or feelings by not responding...hmmm. luv4nikkie

I wrote a letter 2 Prince.Never sent it though- I dont know if I want 2 now.

I've thought about writing a letter to Prince for years now! I even started a thread about it here on the Org. Everyone told me it would be a waste of time and effort, because Prince is much too busy to read fanmail. I could (and still can) see their point. Even so, it's an idea that's always lurking in the back of my mind ... I should just DO it, without expecting a reply!

Well I plan on giving him a letter and a portrait of himself at the next concert in NY. Hopefully, he will be kind enough to write back since a fan gave it to him personally. Also, since after that show he will have 5 days off and may take a sec to respond. Keep your fingers crossed for me!

He's constantly writing his fans -- it's just that his missives are usually delivered by a courier who says:

I remember him saying in an interview that he would write to this one fan and kept in touch for a long time until one day she popped up at his front door. kinda freaked him out so he stopped writing to his fans. anyone remember that?

do any celebs write back to their fans? i mean, i know there are many form letters that get sent out with a stamped signature at the bottom but i don't know of any big star who actually writes back. ideally it woul dbe great if people took the time to remember those who have supported their work throughout the years but i guess we can't all be like joan crawford.

anyhow, rather than get upset over a stranger not writing you back, just take pride in the fact that you have better manners than prince does, lol.

i totally agree that with every song, he is in a way, writing to his fans - and his web site is certainly his product - he may not write every word, but you know the little control freak is overseeing the whole affair. but i also agree that it would be cool if he would get on his site and just post his thoughts and highlights from different shows - life events! make us laugh, like we know he could. that would be cool - but then i'm sure he's apprehensive that it would get copied and misrepresented somehow in papers worldwide . . .
