Songs that would rule to hear if Prince did MTV Unplugged i was really bored when i thought about this but i think these songs would sound pretty cool to hear on an MTV unplugged show. Add suggestions if you want.
The Setlist: Musicology Beautiful Ones Little Red Corvette (i think we all know how this sounds acoustic because of the musicology tour) Raspberry Beret Cream (he played this in Kansas City 05.03.04 and it was INCREDIBLE!!) A Medley of the songs from N.E.W.S. The Rainbow Children When Doves Cry I Would Die 4 U (might sound just a little weird acoustic. heheh. But it would be awesome to see everyone in the audience sing along and so the hand motions too!) I guess we got the closest we may ever get to an Unplugged episode with The Art of Musicology tv special a few weeks ago --

but PLEASE no more Nothing Compares 2 U. its just awful. throw in ADORE, it was amazing during the acoustic set. have you ever heard the barenaked ladies live acoustic version of When Doves Cry? Prince should delete the way too short vegas style version from the show and stick it into the acoustic set after little red corvette. | |

I still think that Prince should release the unplugged set he did at Xenophobia when Norah Jones opened for him. I think it was about 65 minutes or so, so it would make a perfect cd, and I also think that sometime just the before the end of this tour would be a VERY smart move to bring this one out of the vaults! What do other Xenophobia attendees think?

Only if he changed the melodies. That way wouldn´t sound good without the tons of vocal layers. |
