I never could stand Loder and his smug, sneering demeanor, like he's art and everyone else around him is commerce. Just because he's been tenured at two media outlets (Rolling Stone and MTV) that outlived their relevance by decades doesn't mean he's the William S. Burroughs of rock he thinks he is.
And "Props and Pounds"? God, that gags me. Could anything be more nauseatingly self-aggrandizing than sampling the sound of a critic attaching his lips to your ass? You better wake up, Stella. This is my town! | |
