I don't know if this had been posted before so please forgive if it has.

l heard a review from the Dallas concert yesterday morning from a few morning show DJ's that went and of course they gave wonderful comments about the show and all.

One mentioned that he always wondered about "P's" height and said that when the show began and "P" raised out of the floor he was wearing sneakers and I was like

The DJ said that later he put on some heals to finish the show and he looked like his normal self or normal for him anyway

So this was the first time I heard this from anyone, maybe I missed some reviews but I was wondering if anyone else heard or saw this and if so...what's up with Prince wearing sneakers in concert now? Feet hurt? back problems?

Just curious I am.

he's wearing some funky lookin' white platform sneakers/orthopedic shoe/moonboot lookin' things for most of the show - they don't really stand out THAT much, after you get past the "holy crap, those aren't heels!" factor.

Okay so is it just something different or a new look?
I was just taking a little by surprise when I heard it. Hey some 25+ years touring in high heel boots could get tough after a while.

Anybody got any pics of him like this in concert?

I remember a comment made by Wendy from the revolution a while back saying that Prince used to challenge her to a foot race with him wearing his high heel boots because she wore sneakers a lot. She said he would whip her every time but again said he has got to be paying for it now.

would make sence to me because I love boots myself and I have some with some pretty tall heels on them but then again I work indoors and sit most of the time but I can imagine what it would be like being on your feet for so long in boots, I shudder actually

At the Dallas concert, he came out in red, with the matching flat shoes. My mother commented they look like they have crepe soles. Didn't quite look like jumpers (sneakers) to me, but they did look quite comfortable. Almost like big red slippers.....

He then came out for the acoustic and final set in white heels with diamonds (major bling) on the heels.

He wore something similar while walking around at the last Celebration, in 2002. I think he always wears something like these to play basketball as well, but I've never watched him play so I don't know. According to Charlie Murphy he wore the same sh!* they wore at the club, so who knows???

This reminds me of when P wore BLUE JEANS in the Morning Papers video. I was so surprised.
