Do you miss when it was all new?

Recently I was listening to Purple Rain and pouring over the liners, and I felt a longing for when the whole Prince thing was new to me, when I didn't know all his songs and his whole catalogue through and through, and there was a certain mystique and wonder about it... I had SO much music to explore. Does anyone else know what I mean?

Yeah... I really do. I miss that too. hug

The good thing though, I lived thru his peak... in the 80's. It was all so fresh, and he was all over the radio... that I miss most of all.

sigh

It's the reason that alot of us are always anxious to here 'new music' from him. Just to relive that period where he was so mysterious, that period when we first discovered him. Some of us whom shall remain unnamed, would go as far as to break into Paisley Park, just to get a glimpse at what's in that vault.

i'm going through the 'still discovering prince' thing now. i only just started listening to him after i bought the purple rain dvd about 1 1/2 years ago. the earliest album i hav is controversy and i dont really no the songs on that. still dont hav loads of the albums so i've got lots to learn!
