I have so many questions about the beautiful experience album.
The most beautiful girl in the world is my favourite prince song of all time and the first time i ever heard of him but i don't understand why its so hard to get hold of?

When i mention Prince, everyone thinks of that song right away and it must be one of his most famous songs. What happened during the sales, how come no shops stock it?
I have a real bad copy of it but i don't have the proper album, i heard it again yesterday for the first time in years and it was so unlike the Prince i know. It was so strange and it got me wondering all of these things.

Does anyone have any answers?

YES, IT IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL SONG IN THE WORLD!

The Most Beautiful Girl was not released through Prince's then record co. Warner Bros, but independently. He got the okay from them cuz he relaly wanted to release the song and the album he had ready for release (which later became The Gold Experience and Come).

The song was such a success and was Prince's biggest hit since Kiss. The song was released as single.

Too bad Prince thought he should milk the song and then release The Beautiful Experience, a collection of remixes that were, frankly all inferior to the original.

People from the NPG stall also released version; Mayte released THe Most Beautiful Boy In The World and Brian Galagher, one of Prince's sax players released an instrumental version of which I can say the pic of Brian on the cover is the sexiest; his version is terribly muzak.

The version released on TGE is another version than the single version, of which there was an edit and an extended version, albeit only like 40 seconds more.

Post it! I suspected he was hot-looking when I saw him onstage during Act II, but I've never seen him up close.

So,is the version on the beautiful experience the same as the normal version or is it remixed? I really want the copy.

It contains the album version (more or less) plus several remixes and instrumentals.

The Gold Experience album is out of print, but in my experience it's not that hard to get a hold of in used-record shops. Shop around, and with a little persistence and patience, you should be able to find it. It's definitely worth it, if you ask me. Contains the classic "Pussy Control" and the beautiful "Dolphin" and "Shy," among others.

The Beautiful experience version is the extended single version, NOT the album (TGE) version (which is horrible)

TBE version is the best - it has an extra 30 seconds of Prince wailing, which is great

If I've said it once, I've said it thrice: If you dig the song and you dig Eric Leeds, peep the Get Wild CD Single(Euro) and the song Beautiful Girl. Only on the 3-track version. It's the shit.

The BE does have a cool die-cut booklet.

I'll say! Just got the BE on DVD... and though it too was visually beautiful... musically, however, I think I prefer some of the songs as they appeared elsewhere... like Days of Wild - I love the Cyrstal Ball version and would perfer to see/hear it perfromed live.

But back to topic - The Most Beautiful Girl in the world is a lovely song.
