Absolutely, no question, the original "Old Friends 4 Sale" - not the crappy watered down version on "The Vault..." This has the best lyrics and has a haunting feel totally in keeping with the words. The 8) est song!

Also love "There's Others Here With Us" and "Wonderful Ass".

Totally as an aside, I find myself whistling Graffiti Bridge today - somebody help me! wink

I have to say in this order:

Wonderful Ass
In all my dreams
We can funk, '86
It's a Wonderful Day
Strange Relationship (Original version with the Revolution)
The Dance Electric (Original version with the Revolution)
Mad
Get Blue
Cross the Line
Splash
Go

Only to name a few but those are my favorites.
Any opinions on "It's a Wonderful Day"?
Im curious to know what others think if they have heard it.

Prince´s own version of The Dance Electric should definitely
be released one day...and Go..and God Is Alive...and We Can Funk 85...and Moonbean Levels...Others Here With Us..Possessed...the other versions of Something In the Water...the whole Noon Rendezvous rehearsal in superb quality ( speaking about it, is there any other version of Gotta Shake This Feeling ?? or is it just some ad-lib on the spot spontaneous stuff ??)...
And before you all go on about Extraloveable, which I always kinda liked, how do y´all feel about the "rape" part of that song,,because it turns me off completely everytime
I listen to that song...I mean I still like the music and
the lyrics, but what was he thinking ( or:what was Lisa´s
reaction?) when he sang/recorded shit like that ? Or am I
getting something wrong ??? It really disturbs me..
" I´d rather be a stank ass hoe because I´m not stupid. Oh my goodness! I got more drugs! I´m always funny dude...I´m hilarious! Are we gonna smoke?"

My Fav= We can Funk ('86.) I love the mood of it, especially coming off of Can't Stop and Girl 'O' my dreams...great segue. I remember when I bought the Crucial boot and got to listen to it in the shop I picked it up from, I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I was disappointed in the GB version. It's cool, but doesn't have the sexy mood or the bad-ass solo by Mico. I'd love to hear an offical release of that version as well as G-Spot and Chocolate.

Wonderful Ass is one of my favorites, a damn fine track.

But the one I really love best is I-Bitch (Irresistable Bitch, the original demo version), which I found at AG. It's a superb funky track, totally unlike the version he later used a a B-side (which is really crappy compared to the original). A great Linn drumbeat, dry bass, funky guitar, Minneapolis style keyboard hits and passionate lyrics (he's not singing but biting/shouting them). It's (one of) the funkiest track(s) I have ever heard. So you funk lovers, you know what to do...
RIP Prince: thank U 4 a funky Time...
