How would you feel about Prince and Lady T(Teena Marie) doing a song together? Teena Marie is a HELL of an artist...on the keyboards and guitars also. I'm listening to her EMERALD CITY CD now and this is some tight shyt on here! I think that her and Prince doing a collabo would be hot! I remember hearing her say that Prince was one of her main inspirations when she did her STARCHILD CD in 1984(which featured her biggest pop hit..LOVERGIRL)

Despite what you might think, Teena's album is selling very well across the country, and it's a pretty solid album. I don't know how she'll do on tour(if she tours) because she is notorious for not showing up for gigs(which she did when I was supposed to see her years ago). Anyway,at this point, she's too identifiable with Rick James to ever do anything with Prince.

I am a HUGE Teena Marie fan. Emerald City beats even It Must Be Magic and Starchild as the definitive Teena Marie CD. Check the cover with Teena and her Telecaster. The new CD is...okay. In my opinion, too many ballads; the songs sound almost indistinguishable. The last song, "Black Rain", quotes "The Beautiful Ones".

All in all Teena is a great artist. She blows Rick James away on every song they do together.
