1. On the evidence of his interview in Australia during Prince's last visit, I really don't think he has anything againt Australians, he said, "I like it here".

In Florence, we met a really cool Aussie dude of about 50 yrs old (so he said...I thought he was older). Very nice man. Fun.. Dated a Belgian who LOVED Australia...loved Prince too. For Parade, Prince toured EVERYWHERE but the USA. I'm pretty sure folx have some of those Sydney boots. And had there been this board and others in 1986 and 87, you would have heard the same complaint from us Americans. In fact, I have a shirt someone gave me whose sister went to London and got the shirt from a company she worked for (she wasn't even a fan!). I got it in 86 and STILL have it. What threw me with that lyric is that I wondered if he was speaking about Aussies from the Aboriginal point of view. But definitely he was saying RC ... he wouldn't speak like that about fans. | |
