Is there a song u love that u wish was by Prince but is by another artist For me , everytime i hear "Black Velveteen" by Lenny Kravitz, i turn it up treally loud and wish it was a prince song instead. If the milk turns out to be sour, I aint the kinda pussy to drink it! |

Kate Bush/Maxwell's "This Womans Work" Prince would enhance that song soo much with his vocals, and when the band comes in after the bridge, the NPG would sound beautiful there, maybe add a little Clare Fischer. It would give that gorgeous song new life. Blue  | |

-Black Velveteen is a good one but were it not for prince there would be no Lenny Kravitz so it is a prince song. I would say any song by the Beatles or the Stones. I would put his voice between Lennon & Jagger. He could cover any of their songs with the same impact, but they don't have his falsetto. That gives him more color! We all want a big hit again because

All I'm saying is, We all know Prince is his greatest influence..Don't be contentious. -Besides, I listened to velveteen again and it's not a Prince like song at all. Infact, the cadence sounds a lot like a vocal duo of Jesse Johnson and David Bowie. With Johnson covering the opening vocals and Bowie covering the chorus. Listen again,an unlikely duet but that's as close as you'll get. We all want a big hit again because
