... THE TRUTH sounds so good!

The line, "I'm over 30 & I don't smoke weed" popped in my head tonight so I had to put it on. Sitting here listening to it now as I write - DAMN, now I'm dying to hear Don't Play Me or The Truth in the acoustic set of the shows! I can dream!

Anybody else think Man In A Uniform sounds a little off @ about 20-22 seconds? That part always throws me, it's like his singing comes in on the wrong beat or there's an extra beat that shouldn't be there or something.

Anyway, great disc. Love that his catalogue is so big you can ignore stuff for a while & come back to it sounding fresh & good as ever.

Now I'm on For You - "So Blue" is killin me.

I'm gonna do like Zelaira & talk to myself on my own thread

Play "The Truth" back to back with "The Vault"! That would've been a killer 2 disc set! They feel good together!

I wonder how well The Truth would have done commercially if it had some promotion behind it?

Comeback is just too painfull 2 hear esp since we know where its from, its amazing how he could make yo heart wrench in 2 minutes.

The whole album still sounds fresh as a morning's breese altho I whenever I hear "The Animal Kingdom"

I LOVE "The Truth." Don't understand why people treach Prince so harshly. It was a great album...

Im afraid that any song where Prince gets all righteous sticks in my throat...be that about slavery,animals etc and I hate it for the same reason I hate door to door salesmen and people who knock on my door and wont leave when I say Im not interested in Jesus.
