That is indeed a great song. I'll have to give this album another whirl sometime... and I will say this, it sounds incredible with headphones.

Good album, you gotta get into it (don't trust the first listen). I can't even rate the songs in order b/c so many of them are good in different ways (Tamborine & America being the BEST). Give it another shot (or 12), it'll grow on you

Tamborine and Condition of the Heart are among his best.

I listened to it yesterday and it really has grown on me. When i first bought it i couldn't listen to it but then i decided i needed to give it a chance. I listened to it from the beginning to end on my own and now i can understand what you're all saying. Just like musicology, when i first heard it i thought it was so not Prince, i thought the only one theat sounded Princey was Cinnamon girl but now i really like it.

Condition of the heart is creepy sounding. I was listening to it and my sis came in and turned it off, i was like "i like that one!!!"

I like The Ladder too. Infact, i shouldn't of even said i didn't like it in the first place without giving it a chance. Still have to listen to under the cherry moon again though.

And please don't tell me to come back when i'm older, i'm still learning about the music ok, I'm only young, give me a chance.

I dusted this off a few days ago and it sounded so good. Its a great summer album imo. I bought this album in 85 when it came out and always liked it...with the exception of Temptation which is a self-indulgent mess imo. The Ladder, Paisley Park, Tamborine, and Pop Life are the best.

That album is BRILLIANT and was so unique in it's time. Hearing it for the first time now wouldn't hold the same brilliance or punch that hearing it when it first came out. Paisley Park is such a magical song and it holds a very special place to A LOT of old school fans, well, most of that album does. So sorry to say, but you missed out on a great expierence.

I know, i always say i should've been born earlier! After what everyone been saying, i've been listening to it. Paisley Park is stuck in my head!
