It was...

NEVER!!!!!

Prince is the coolest dressing brother out there, why I say that is:

What person can you say, "I need to see what they are wearing today?" Prince does that for me. Mr. Blackwell never put Prince on his list for best dressed list because Prince is not boring when it comes to fashion, he is a eye gasism, but you have to open your eyes to SEE.

Peace and Love for one another.

Prince is gorgeous and sexy, but for me, the highlights are the worse hairstyle I've seen him with (except for the twisted hair thing from the Rave era.

Although I like Prince in suits à la 2004, I'm more of a fan of his more creative outfits and dig his trademark heels.

here are my picks:

the opening scene in UTCM-what's with the lampshade on his head?!

the performance of elephants and flowers in graffiti bridge:.come on...he's wearing a tablecloth!

and anything where he tries to look "thugged out". confuse pimp2 wacky shake no no no!

lol I know everybody cherishes them, but from a fashion standpoint his outfits were hideous. Take the outfit in When Doves Cry for example - those pants! The color of the hat didn't go w/ shit else he had on, the ruffles. LAWD! :disbelief

omg! i looove the when doves cry outfit..especially the hat!

D&P with the MTV ass out suit, the Rave2 and twisted hair look , IMHO!!!

maaan i loooved the ass out suit..and the braids..i thought they looked soo cute

that bullshit around rave/NPS where he was wearing NPG sports jerseys with fedoras, and everything he wore was some kind of NPG logo gear. i could hang with seeing him in some pretty out-there, phyllis-diller-lookin shit during the early to mid '90s, but that logo gear and fedora/jersey crap just did me in.

wow! i thought the npg stuff was soo cool look especially the jackets i would loove 2 have one of those..

lets c...4 me its when he was goin around as Tora Tora with the scarf over his face..and the chains...and in the 80s when he had the big hair and he was greasy with all that nasty ass chest hair showin..i god! he looked a mess... i think it was boy george who said it..he looked like a midget dipped in oil and rolled in pubic hair! as long as he aint greasy or the hair aint showin i'm cool.

Dirty Mind MUST be forgiven. Though it was extraordinarily tacky it was also @ the height of P's "fuck it all!" attitude. My boy went for his, did his own thing, got naked & just didn't care. I LOVE THAT ABOUT HIM!! Therefore, as previously stated, all faux paus from the Dirty Mind era MUST BE FORGIVEN - leg warmers & all. Thank you. biggrin

Wow...a lot of interesting views here, you know I tend to lurk lurking most of the time round here, but I had to come outta hiding and just say this....

As far as Prince and his sense of fashion, don't it seem like the fashion matched his music at that given period of his musical career.
Although yes, some of the styles made u cringe and go DAYUM..why'd he go and do that?? You had to admit...ONLY PRINCE AND I MEAN O N L Y PRINCE COULD PULL THAT SHIT OFF!! nod
The styles were outrageous, sexy, cool, trashy, punkish, freakish, gothic, sharp, romantic, hideous, some were well WTF?? But, it's Prince and hell that's why we LOVE him. love

So as far as the fashion, I have no dislike for any of them, they had their place in time with the music at that time, and well I'm all about the music. Now as for how he currently dresses, I am totally diggin the suits and how sharp he looks.
Just my 2 :cents:

peace and blessings pray
