Well, of course we know that he's funky and that he rocks! But what is he best at? Is he more funky than he rocks? Or is soul is best music?

I think he used to be funky, then he rocked more and now as he settles into middle age i think he may be turning into a jazz artist. I like the combination of all of them, but he's not as funky anymore.

He is funky and he rocks. But, I kinda have to agree with DMSR, that he has lost some of his funkiness. I hope he gets it back soon. The new jazz sound is veeeeery nice, but I would not want that to be the only sound he sticks with.

He "used" to be both...and I miss it. DAMN IT!!!
and now...he IS just turning into a jazz musician...just like his Dad used to be. Funny, huh?

I wouldn't have any problems with him turning into an jazz musician. But I don't really think that he will ever stick to one musical style

Prince is a complex musician... He has MUSIC (i mean all kind o' Music) in His DNA, we cant put him in just a music category: he does funk, rock, jazz, soul, pop, symphonic (Kamasutra) and i believe He will wonder us w/ other kind o' Music next months... years, that's why i (L) Him so!!
