Well it was a very short but sweet interview and some clips. Its the first time Ive heard PRINCE say "wife" about manuella in an interview. Also the Video Looks Really Nice, and O MY GOD RHONDA LOOKS HOT! I love that Woman so much, so cool and Sexy and talented.

yep, I just saw it too! It was short but sweet, but DAMN he looked great as usual!

The best thing was the sound of Call My Name in the background. That song sounded really good and hopefully people who don't have the album were inspired to go get it.

Did not like the concert footage they showed.

Prince looked too much like Little Richard for me (and a little sleepy).

I did enjoy hearing him call Mani his "Beloved." Sweet.

When he mentioned the song was about monagamy did he really have to add something to this effect: "there aren't too many songs about that these days" He's always indicting other people, geesh.

And the clunker: "There are some songs I don't perfom ... because of the children."

Still, good to see him on T.V.

But as always, he's preaching again..."this song is about monogamy; today's pop music promote alcoholism and promiscuity..."

i don't know about the video; looks okay i guess from what i saw but nothing that blew me away...i have to see the whole thing first i guess...

The video looks like it's going to be yet another bore. The song is boring. I would have loved to see him perform it live with a "spin." Jazz it up; gospel/R&B flavors to it....

The interview was way to short.. same old same old..
The video looks ok..... but it was annoying how they kept cutting into the video and then back to him.....
I thought it was a waste of time!

The usually reclusive Prince is got a little less reclusive when he granted Access Hollywood's Shaun Robinson a rare interview on the set of his new video. Prince opened up about his song's reference to his "beloved" wife Manuela Testolini, the state of pop music today and why you won't find any older raunchy songs on his current North American "Musicology" tour.

Shaun Robinson: Tell me about the concept behind this video, "Call My Name."

Prince: Well, the song originated when I changed my name back to Prince and I stopped using the symbol and the first person I heard say my name was my beloved.

Shaun: Your beloved?

Prince: Yeah, I wrote the song for her and hopefully other people can relate to it, too. It's about monogamy and there is not a lot of that in music today.

Shaun: Right.

Prince: So I'm trying to do something a little different and I think it's going to stand out.

Shaun: You talk about your beloved wife when she first called your name. What did that do to you?

Prince: Um... next question. (smiles)

Shaun: (laughs) Well, you sang this kind of like message to her. So tell me what we will see in this video. What kind of emotions run through this video?

Prince: Like I said, the song is about monogamy. It's about 'the one.' I think a lot of times people want to know a love that will cause you to change your mind about all things and the song tries to capture that spirit.

Shaun: In my business I cover the industry and we've had discussions about how to be a superstar today, you don't really have to know how to sing, you don't have to know how to play instruments, you just have to kind of be cute, and have some good lighting.

Prince: Welcome to the 21st century.

Shaun: It's changed a lot. What do you as an artist -- when you see that -- what do you think? What goes through your mind?

Prince: I don't really focus that much on other artists. If we stay true to the music and stay true to the ideology of God then we're going to pretty much fall to his will and do things that are going to get us free out of this mess.

Shaun: Can you tell me about some of the songs you have planned for your tour?

Prince: The music itself is sexy because you know I'm a very sensual being so it's going to sound like me. There are certain songs I don't do because the children will come to the show and I think I have a responsibility to them. And I would kind of challenge other artists to do the same. We're in a society now that we've gone so far one direction. I think it's time to come back to the one and get this right.
