He could essentially b back in the top 5 this week! If he makes a slight increase like he did last week that could put him at 130.000 sales!

With almost 70% in, Prince is at 24,115 so it looks like 32,000-35,000 this week (a minimal dropoff from last week). The album will in all likliehood finish Top 25 without the concert sales and Top 5 with. I am happy about both but, as I have said for the last 7 weeks, I think the concert CD flap has outweighed the relative success of the album in its own right. This album has legs, extremely unusual for a Prince album released in the last 10-15 years. The fact that it is still hovering in the 20's with scant airplay and STILL no video for "Call My Name" is amazing. No it's not Usher but hell, I'll take almost 500,000 retail sold in 7 weeks with the possibility of a decently long chart run. I just wish I didn't have this sinking feeling that all involved (Prince and Columbia) are happy enough with the success of the tour that they are not going to do much more pushing of the CD. They really could elevate this to the next level (blockbuster) if they tried a little harder.
All good things they say never last...
