The Official Org "Happy Birthday, Prince!" Thread! ...okay, folks.
i've started up this thread in order to keep the forum from being flooded with multiple "happy birthday" threads. and yeah yeah yeah, we all know that p don't celebrate birthdays anymore and all that stuff, but folks will continue to send their well-wishes anyhow. this thread will only be up till around 10 pm (mpls time) on the 7th, so hurry and post your birfday greetings here!  | |

Well, since Prince doesn't do birthdays anymore, I'll just wish him peace, love and sssooouuullll....not just on June 7th, but every day.

When I was little (about 18 months old), my family says I had a tremendous crush on Tom Jones. It was so intense, that when my grandmother's neighbor went to see Tom Jones in concert and didn't take me with her (at 18 months old), they say I didn't "speak" to her for several days.
Years go by and I've always dug Tom Jones. Then in 1982-83, I "discover" Prince, and he becomes my 20+ years long crush. Imagine my surprise when I found out they have the same birthday. What's new pussy-cat...whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa What's new pussy-cat...whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa..... Carlton dancin' with Dansa!

Happy, happy birthday! Since we both don't count the years anymore, thought I'd share what me and my beloved chose to do. No presents, no candles, no cake.....he took me to a beautiful wetland area where we shared the joy of experiencing Great Blue Herons, Bald Eagles, Snowy Egrets, Green Herons, Sandbill Cranes, Tree Swallows, Bluebirds, Beavers, Frogs, etc..... an absolutely beautiful experience where we got some great nature shots and enjoyed each other's presence and the love we feel for one another. Made me think of the shots on this site posted of you and your beautiful wife watching whales off the bow of the boat. What an intense and special moment for you both! Your artistry has always been the best when you are in love, and now I understand the passion that you draw from nature, as well. Many, many more birthdays to you, my Prince! | |
