Why Hasn't Prince and Bowie Collaberated Yet? That would be the Bomb!

The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

Co-signed. It would be something great to see them together on stage. Bowie could even play sax while Prince makes an incredible guitar solo.

This is going to sound wierd, and I totally don't know where it's coming from, it's definitely unsubstantiated, but I get the feeling neither one really likes the other's music.
Strangely, I absolutely love both, so I don't know why I'm saying this. I guess I just don't hear any remnants or traces of influence in either artist's collection, and I don't know if I've ever heard or seen Prince mention anything about David Bowie ever. Then again, when I learned that Frank Zappa respected Prince, I nearly collapsed, so I could be completely wrong on this. Actually, despite my love of these two artists, I don't think I'd want them to collab. I just don't see it working. "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. A special guest spot live on stage though, I concede would be cool "Knowledge is preferable to ignorance. Better by far to embrace the hard truth than a reassuring faith. If we crave some cosmic purpose, then let us find ourselves a worthy goal" - Carl Sagan

Bowie and Prince HAVE performed together on stage:
1 October 1987- Prince attends David Bowie's concert at the St. Paul Civic Center. A Private screening of the Sign O' The Times film was held in a rented Minneapolis theatre for David Bowie and his camp. Afterwards, there was a private party at Paisley Park for Bowie's group of people where they both jammed. There are no circulating tapes available of this event, however. . Bowie had Prince songs from '1999' played over the PA prior to some of his concerts on the Serious Moonlght tour. In October, 1987, Prince attended Bowie's concert in St Paul, providing a private screening of the Sign O' The Times film for Bowie and his entourage together with a party back at the recently-opened Paisley Park. He missed the Minnesota Black Musicians Awards, where he was inducted into the Minnesota Black Musicians Hall Of Fame (and were The Time performed a reunion concert) to attend the second Bowie concert (both held in the same St Paul Civic Center). i'd love to see these two do a co-headlining tour someday, kinda like that whole deal that elton john and billy joel had going for a while. i know - pipe dream - but i'd at least be able to die happy if such a thing happened.

personally i don't mind, cos, you know, everyone has there own take on things, and, you know, not that it matters, but Bowie likes it in the bum - dunno if Larry would be too happy with the whole JW slant on that - but, you know, it's gotta figure into the equation - but hey, Mick wrote Angie from the whole rear ordeal, so i guess there could be a good song in it....

Prince likes Bowie's music... Bowie loves Prince's music and he even thinks Prince is THE future of music, the dude has much respect for Prince, maybe even too much, ask Trent Reznor... Neversin. O(+>NIИ<+)O

I saw Bowie and Iman once in the bar of (the once) trendy restaurant Muse in LA. They are a very striking couple in person. A Bowie-Prince reunion/collaboration would be welcomed! VOTE....EARLY
