When I was a kid (probably around 1986) I remember reading in the travel or entertainment section of my small local newspaper, probably in a story from a wire service like AP, that Prince was in a promotional video for the Minneapolis tourism board or assocation. The story was about how the city was trying new methods to attract tourism. Prince, being the biggest Minneapolis celebrity (next to Husker Du), was asked to do a video wherein he showed his favorite places around the city, rather like a "funky little tour guide".

What really surprised me then was that the article mentioned that Prince showed his "naked tapered butt" in the tourism video. I find that very hard to believe, unless the local tourism board dropped their "family values" stance and thought the possibility of seeing Prince's ass was enough of a draw to get people to visit, tourist dollars winning over prudish sensibility. Does anyone remember this video or was this a case of someone exaggerating or getting the story very wrong with only a kernel of truth? If this story is true, does anyone have a copy of the video? I'm sure if it were true, copies would have been circulating for years and be spread all over the internet.

I doubt the validity of the story as I have been both a Prince fan and a Minnesota residence for a long time and I've never heard of it.
