Gold Nigga - Prince's worst album.

Okay, so I just obtained this album and this is obviously an NPG album, but Prince, as far as I can tell, is involved in most if not all of it.

A whole album full of Tony M?

Truly repugnant. Surely P's worst album.

nod

Dude you're tripping. It's funky as hell with Johnny, Black MF, and Deuce and a Quarter IMO being the standout tracks and also Prince has MANY MANY worse albums. I mean would you rather listen to Goldnigga or Kamasutra?

seriously, I'd rather listen to Kamasutra, which up until now I thought was his worst. Gold Nigga is seriously terrible with that early 90s Tony M rapping ALL THE WAY THROUGH. It's shit. Exodus kicks it's arse TWICE.

But I though Tony M. was the "wittiest pen the twin cities have ever seen".

Oh right. What a load of Horseshit.

Say what you wanna about Goldnigga. As long as there is an album called New Power Soul, I will always classify that as Prince's worst album. Yeah Tony M is no Rakim but the album served its purpose: a low-key release of jam sessions and tight grooves. New Power Soul is/was just barf

talk to the hand whaaaaattttt? you shoulda stuck with kamasutra, cuz goldnigga is the ticket...johnny, call the law, black mf in the house? wow. now i'm going to my room and get it and pop it in. like my boy HiinEnkelte once said of Tony M -- "dude ain't got no off switch."

well, tony kinda blows -- but i still gotta love him -- especially when he went topless in 'the sacrifice of victor' show. that took some cajones! he was all sweating, and mulletting out...LOVE IT LOVE IT!

nah man, New Power Soul (without Push It Up & Freaks..) is nice. His worst album i'd have 2 give it 2... Chaos & Disorder and/or maybe News (because i havent listened 2 it sice the first month i bought it..after that.....).

You'd rather listen to Tony M rapping than Prince rocking out on guitar? disbelief

Hmmm, it's a nice album, I like the instrumentation.

2gether - nice slow R&B rap, nice commercial single.
Call The Law - great guitar track (OK, so we heard it as a b-side first, but it's still on there)
Deuce & A 1/4 - Great stuff, I love it.
Johnny - The one some say is the only decent track on there, it's OK at first, but it bores me to tears these days.

The albums jewels are the two instrumentals - Oilcan and Goldie's Parade, I can imagine these are why Prince dug up the Madhouse moniker again for 24 [ii] - it was a great, great band.

Man some of u r crazy, this albm is the bomb! Tony is cool, i like his delivery/rapping style!

I said this before, but I used to (and still sometimes do) play this to my non-prince hiphop fans and they loved it! Tho' only proberly because Tony raps 4 the most part tho'! Plus "Black MF in the house" really surprises people 4 the chorus alone!

They used to like "Gangster glam" from my "Gett off" home video too, and the "Call the law" vid! I love both those vids, esp "Ganster glam", just P and NPG mucking about at Paisly! No serious messages or concepts or anything...anyway

This CANES that rather shitty ballet he did, no offence Prince, but not every genre of music u touch, turns to gold..but it was free so I didn't mind really

Yeah I actually agree. I busted out this cd a week ago to give it a listen. I enjoyed it a lot. It's far far from the worst material he's put out.
