Forbes Top 50 $$$$ Every year around September or October, Forbes magazines puts out its issue of the Top 50 $$ earning celeberties of the past year. I bet that Mel Gibson will top this year's list with his personal earnings from "The Passion of The CHRIST" which may be over $300 mil. Madonna may be in the top five with her earnings from her tour considering those ticket prices alone. Where do you feel Prince will place on this year's list factoring in the tour revenues, CD revenues- his own independent cut rather than the Sony/Columbia income- and miscelaneous income. If he is not somewhere in the top five or ten, than that list could become an official joke, even with its reputable stature. Jeux Sans Frontiers

When all is said and done I think that Prince is going to be in the 50 to 60 million dollar range. I say this because by the time this tour is over he is going to have played for more people than the purple rain tour. BIG BUCKS

Peace I would believe that he'll make a pretty penny if you factor his own percentage of "musicology" CD sales or giveaways, his $500,000 per show take ( Gross income, not the net after taxes and expenses ), I'm guessing the band is paid by the tour promoter seperately and what income large or small he'll get from the "Purple Rain", "UTCM", and "Graffiti Bridge" DVD releases. If he doesn't get something in the high 8+ digits, he should fire Llondell. Jeux Sans Frontiers

Clinton, Your correct, 100 million minus his cut which I think will be about half, 50 or 60 million. I'm just guessing though. With the CD and DVD sales, he's going to be around 75 to 90 million. DAMN. Can someone teach me how to sing?
