Are you over Musicology already and can't wait for the next Prince album?? I sure am!! Now I know why Prince likes to release new albums all the time!! "Just like the sun, the Rainbow Children rise."

I'm over it.
I'm always happy to hear new Prince music, but I know these things take time to release and promote, so I don't expect a new album for a year or so - hopefully NPGMC store will keep up releasing music. | |

Musicology wore out it's welcome pretty quick. I was surprised. I'm ready for the new. I'm ready for funk. Musicology is the un-funk. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot. | |

I was surprised too with how quickly I stopped playing Musicology. I still think it's really good, but just not great like I thought at first.
But I'm REALLY excited to see what he does next, cause now you just have no idea what direction he'll go in. Another pop album? Something really experimental? An instrumental album? It's so exciting. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

I'm not necessarily done with Musicology, but I am greatly anticipating the next release.
I think that this album was a great way to show the public that Prince could still release a solid, radio friendly, and focused album, and even though Musicology feels a bit like a step back in terms of progression, it's still an above average piece of work. It is what an is, a piece of work to show today's musicians how it's done.
As for the next album... I really think Prince should go all out with innovation and experimentation. He's past this 'safety' album, so I think he'll have the drive to do something really cool. I'd personally like to see some electronica experiments, or maybe even something new altogether. | |

we Prince fans are so spoiled, most artists take two three or four years between records, were used two at least one, sometimes two a year, give the little man a break already. | |

Im still on it too dont wear it out, all at once, it is his best in a very long time, every joint jams, no stupid Tony M raps between good songs, right now Im diggin "if I, was the, man in yo life, " and " I might be tempted to break the law round heaaa...., straight pure classic genius soul. | |
