The Greatest Romance thats ever been sold

It seems to me as if i've heard a bunch of fans say they don't like it. I don't neccessarily

either because to me it sounds like the song is trying too hard. I wanna know do most

people here like it or not and if not what would be your reasoning?
"Why'd I waste my kisses on you baby?" R.I.P. Prince You've finally found your way back home. Well Done.

I like it, it's a solid pop song. The strings in it are nice. Gets old though.

I like the original.

All of the remixes except the one on Rave In2 are pretty bad, especially the Neptunes one and I usually love the Neptunes.

i hate it...the worst single ever, ok, maybe tied with thieves.

it was like he was trying to cram his new pedagogy into this little pop box, and it was just so tired, and trying to be sexy 'cept trying NOT to be sexy also.

Hate to say it, but he forgot about the Musicology, which is why I think every song on the new CD beats that crap-ass single.

I 100% love that song and here's why. I became a serious prince fan in 1999 and that was his first released song after I began exploring his music more seriously. I think that song has some really clever lyrics going on. I personally like the song because by the time it came out i was staring a new chapter (romantically) in my life, wich has ended already btw; so that song still means something to me.

The song also resulted in a real cool moment. I was still a student back in 1999 and after class we went to a bar where most students used to hang out. At one moment that song was on the radio and, it was surreal, but the entire bar was singing along. People who couldn't name five prince songs if their lives depended on it were singing along with this song. It was weird (star wars bar scene kind of weird) but definitly cool.

Maybe my expectations were too high. I thought that because it was 1999 and he was working with a major label like Arista, he was going to come out strong. When I heard it the first time, all I could think was, WHAT THE FUCK? This is the first single? That song was boring. zzz

I like this song. Try cleaning up the house while it's playing. I feel it, but that is just me.
