OH MY FRIGGIN' GOD!!!!! lololololol.....you guys crack me up.....lol I suppose if this were a cancer website, we would be discussing cancer. If John Lennon were somehow associated with Prince, we may be discussing John Lennon. However, last I checked, THIS IS A PRINCE WEBSITE!!! Hellooooo.....what do you think we should be discussing here, Einstein?!?!?!

Yeah, I told my sister about sheila's show. Now she doesn't care about her constant pain, chemo-therapy, hair-loss and life-expectations anymore... Is it THAT hard to be a little more considerate? I'm really not offended that fast, but this dude just makes me wanna puke! Sifi

Back to the subject at hand.
Sheila E., and her 11 piece band, opened tonight's show. The biggest crowd reaction was for her closing number Glamorous Life which featured 2 solos by the Queen of the timbales. This set the audience up for the Prince knockout punch. IMO, the 5/26 show was better. Although this may be due to where I was sitting. On the floor on the 26th with the non-stop party people and Sec 115 tonight with a more laid back group. Tonight's set had a shorter acoustic section (compared to the 26th) and the encore featured a live version of Call my Name then straight into Purple Rain (I think i'm remembering this correctly). This might have to do with the fact that there was an opening act and the man's got to get to his second job of the evening...the 1st of 2 midnight AFTERSHOWs this week at the House of Blues. I'm sure someone else will fill in the gaps. Can't wait to get back on the floor, where the action is, on Saturday. tA p.s. - To pick up on a point CalhounSq made. Tonight after the "Can't nobody mess with my band." quip, he again went to the couch. But this time instead of Chance bringing him cookies, he brought him the issue of Rolling Stone magazine he's on the cover off. The camera crew, shooting the overhead monitor shots, then got a great shot over his shoulder while he had the magazine opened to the page that said BURNING DOWN THE HOUSE. Crowd goes wild. Classic! OH MY FRIGGIN' GOD!!!!! lololololol.....you guys crack me up.....lol She's a phenominal musician, an incredible performer, and considered by many to be the greatest drummer Prince ever worked with. For Prince fans this is exciting news (and I know this may come as a surprise, but that's actually who this website is for!!!). No one claimed it was the second coming. Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

Yeah, I thought it was too....that's why it surprised me to have people cumming all over themselves because Sheila E opened one show...yeah, that sounds kind of fun, but it's nothing to go into a friggin' seizure over. But I guess to some fanatics, anyone even associated with Prince is magical and wonderful and incredible to behold. I'm sure if Tony M would have opened a show with a rap set, many people would be spooging over that as well.... . [This message was edited Fri Jun 4 14:37:07 2004 by RupertZ]

It's Sheila E....she didn't even write her own songs....all she did was play the drums. Sure she's a good drummer....even a great drummer, but she's not THAT big of a deal.
But I guess she's an attractive semi-white chick who was associated with Prince, so everyone loves her just like Wendy and Lisa. I like her too, but she's not a musical phenomenon.

So what she didn't right her own songs? The King of Rock and Roll didn't either and no one knocks him for that. Now shut up and let us enjoy the fact that one of the best drummers to ever grace a Prince stage tore down the house in L.A. last night. Just start a thread called "I need attention and will do anything to get it" next time, it'll go over better.
