i can rememeber way back before the internet and looking up imformation on line ..people thought that prince was satanic or demonish i think when it started was when 1999 can out and on the album cover when you turn it upside down it was 1666 with the one a arrow pointing downward and there has been that speculation for a long time ..and with the darling nikki song on the end of it ..if you play it backwards it said hello how are you ...fine fine cause i know that the lord is coming soon coming coming soon ..and at that time prince did not appear to be GODLY.I ALWAYS wondered why he played with religion .in his music .its just all weird to me ...i never like when prince done that i never listened to any of the songs that i feel like he played with GOD in .prince is trying to change his ways now because he has had some bad blows in life in the last few yrs.I BELIEVE GOD WAS TRYING TO TELL HIM SOMETHING.

people try to find devil stuff in anything. i remember when the proctor and gamble logo was supposed to mean satan. i'm satan, you're satan, my cat's satan...

you don't see people trying to be provocative by being all "i love satan" anymore - nothing's really shocking anymore.

I never thought Prince was satanic, I think he always tried to be positive when he mentioned God in his songs. "4 The Tears in Your Eyes" from 1985 talks about Jesus and not in a negative way, many other songs like "God"... the same thing.
Yes, he had the bad boy image and I did notice how many people saw the conflict of the messages in his songs. I am not sure why Prince did those things, but I just don't think he was in any way satanic.

Was anyone in San Jose Wednesday night that saw that dude with the billboard, picketing outside Prince's concert?

His billboard said "Jesus Hates Sin"

So I told him that Jesus probably hates weird dudes with billboards.

I don't know why some people believe that. I never thought that Prince was evil. I don't think that God has punished him for things he did in his past. It all has to do with being willing to be accountable for certain things.
