I could sware there was some contest in the 80s where prince played in some cow town. Does anyone have a tape of this?

He was the "prize" of a call-in contest...

The winner would get a screening of his new movie "Under the Cherry Moon", previewed in their hometown.

He would also be that winner's date for the screening and afterparty, which featured him as a performer.

...and yeah, some "cow-town" fan won... Prince came through and did everything he said he would... much to MTV's delight.

(They had an airtight contract with Prince... and he couldn't get out of it! )

Didn't Prince steal that girl's necklace or something?

..Martha Quinn asked Prince as he got off the plane to greet the contest winner..."How do u feel?"..He replied, "I feel with my hands,Martha..." he may have grabbed her ass or something 'cuz she got a peculiar look on her face as he said it...

I dialed away forever trying to win and was so PISSED that I didn't win. But God is good, because they were in Sheridan Wyoming they stopped by in DENVER two nights after for a Hit and Run SOLD OUT show. Had she not won, I might never had seen my cherished Revolution live.

I always wondered what he would have done if a MALE had won the contest, or was it a stipulation that the contest winner had to be female?

He sho did. She even said it at the end the People Mag issue that was talking about the event. He gave some necklace and some other things. But she said he didn't give me back my pearls and I could tell by the look on his face that he wasn't givin' them pearls back. I think he figured he was gonna get something out of this, cuz I heard on that special MTV:20 the contest segment where Prince was trying to back out of the contest, he didn't want to go through with it, but I think MTV was going to sue him and his management if he tried to back out.

Whoever that was that said they was freakin jealous of the girl, I don't know what for, cuz she looked tore up. If I was her I wouldn't have had the balls to go out with him, but she went even though she acted like she was nervous and if any of you have the party on tape, the next time you look at it pay attention and watch how Devin Devasquez (the girl in the black dress standing next to P's father who favored Vanity) looked at the blond next to her when Lisa came up. She gives this look and the blond starts lauging. They was trying to be funny because of the way Lisa looked. I caught that back then and I was just 14.

Thanks to that woman, we got a show in Denver. Yeehaaaaawwwww!

I'll never forget it..I had sun poisoning, laying on my couch in fucking agony...with the phone on my lap....calling every 12 secs or so...finally, I was like 8,000 something...and couldn't get thru anymore...
