I think there are plenty of both straight and gay Prince fans. Of the straight Prince fans I think it may be typical that they're not usually real macho type guys but rather soft, sensitive types. 
I'm generalising and joking here, but I think in general male Prince fans may be slightly more deficient in testosterone than say Motorhead fans.  u have a gay wave. He said on the interview with MTV that he is satisfied everyday. If he is happy with how he is then his fans should too. I could really care less that people around me thought he was gay. I think my husband did too when he met me 8 yrs ago. Now, after listening to almost every Prince album (some 100 times) he understands the talent behind the MAN. I still do not think he understands my obsession and the spritual connection I feel when I listen to Prince. Or how I could lust over such a little man that dresses funny but to me he is more then a man, it's hard to explain. I don't even bother trying. Well, enough said, Peace ! Peace ! | |

I hate to respond to this but this is a DUMB question....in 2004, who is to say what anyone is or isn't....when I was in college and grooving to Prince as well as every cat on my campus(predominantly Black college, Hampton U) we were straight and didn't even think that Prince had gay fans.....that was the 80s and EVERYBODY had an androgynous look...Prince was one of MANY...nowadays you have straight acting gay rappers in denial.....Prince is on his second marriage and Michael Jackson is on his second child molestation case.....the bottomline is..the world is crazy.....musicianship is what it is REALLY about...and I would question the Backstreet Boys or Nsync before I would question Prince who has ALWAYS kept the company of the finest chicks on the planet(I don't think the gay cats dig THAT)....PEACE | |
