hmmmm, it looks fake to me... I don't think they would cut of Prince's head like this for an original album cover.. besides, it is the same picture from the original cover... nope...don't believe it is real!

It's from my collection of stuff Ive collected over the years (I basically kept anything and everything I saw on him over the years since 1983 - hell, where do u think most of the newspaper scans and shit come from in the gallery 4 God's sake!!!) and this is one of those things.

Even IF the heart wasn't put there by Jean-Baptiste Mondino (which I reckon it was, hell...it goes with the theme, maybe they were running with an idea) the actual photograph of P is a completely different pose from the finalised version - so how u guys can actually say that it's fake when it's blatantly Prince is quite beyond me. Interesting POV, but one that holds no water whatsoever Im afraid when u actually open your eyes and compare the 2.

Hey bc, i have a much larger and clearer version that will help u out to prove it's the real deal. I have held onto this pic for quite a while just waiting for the right time to show it and I guess this constitutes lettin it finally show. No offense to you but the version you have posted here definitely HAS been badly altered from the original one I have... his right shoulder doesn't seem to be in tact in this one, but it's all there in mine. As for the heart around it, I agree with you that it's most likely "real" and was part of an earlier Idea tha got scrapped. PM me and we'll discuss dispelling all the naysayers
