I was just thinking it would be great if SOMEHOW Prince and Warner Brothers could settle something so that they can re-issue the Purple Rain DVD (with widescreen this time - and extra features!) and expand the soundtrack. I recently compiled a mix of all the music that was in the movie and it turned out like this:

I think there are more songs, but i was thinking when/IF they re-release the movie, they should include the new soundtrack WITH the DVD. So it would be a 2 disc set. When they frist released the DVD (when DVDs first came out) it barely had anything cool besides the movie. I want the widescreen version, and i KNOW there has GOT to be major extras that come with it.

But then again, i think i'm just crazy and i know probably tons of people have suggested this, and i just sound like one of those morons.

Plus, i know Prince will probably be pissed if WB re-releases the movie without his permission.

There's also all of the other Prince albums that deserve remasters. Like "Around the World in a Day", "Sign O the Times", "Prince", "Lovesexy", "Controversy" so on. That would be awesome to have these albums in Super Audio or something like that. Or even some bonus studio or live tracks.

You are missing Posessed I think. Perhaps Electric intercourse....not sure of all of the song created round this time. There was also some wierd song playing when he took Apples to his house? Some strange thing on a tape. What was that? I remember it was wierd.

And YES some discs (probably up to Come need remastering.

The 2-Disc Widescreen (1.85:1) DVD is a done deal according to Warner Bros. We don't know what extras will be on it, but interviews were aparently done with the Revolution.
