Billy

I'm still wading through the treasure trove that is the Revelations DVD and I came across this song today..."Billy".

I'm wondering whether this is the song "Billy's Sunglasses" that everybody talks about?

What's the general consensus about this track? If it is indeed the same track?

He seems to be saying "where'd you find them glasses?" so I think it's the same track.

It's kind of funny...sort of like an Elton John song or something.

Whaddaya reckon?

The guitar is pretty hot on it!

I'm glad you finally discovered this little gem, John wink

"Billy" is from a Purple Rain-era rehearsal and Prince actually plays guitar for 45 minutes or so (the version on Revelations is just a short edit), and it's highly recommended.
It quickly goes on to "Strange Relationship" in what appears to be the first time Prince teaches The Revolution the chords to that song.

If you need to hear this in full then let me know and I'll send you a copy.
