SILLY GAME...thumbs up or down I actually like SILLY GAME from the RFAVE UNTO THE JOY FANTASTIC album. That is a beautiful song with a nice melody. Prince really irritates me with all the pretty sogns that he let slip through the cracks. What do you feel about SILLY GAME? THumbs up or down? | |

I really enjoy that track...one of quite a few moments on that album where you get to see what's really on his mind during that time and what's happening in his life. He was telling the media that they got divorced because they don't believe in contracts, but the lyrics are saying that he's overhearing her on the phone referring to him as her "sugardaddy". Prince's personal life is his own, but I always appreciate the songs with heart-felt lyrics.

Replace the drums with something more Prince-worthy and you have a nice little track. The synth lines are kinda classic. | |

I like that song. It was one of those songs that stuck in my head and you could tell it was a personal song for him, IMO. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that | |
