If you met prince and he was just a total ass to you do you think you would still be as big of a fan?(I'm not saying fam)sorry! or would you say the hell with him and stop going to his concerts and buying CD's ect...?

As long as he didn't curse me out and call me stupid, I would still Like him. Being rude or dismissive during that one moment wouldn't wipe out 20+ years of my being a FAN!!

well yeah i'd be turned off for a while...i can be mule when holding grudges...i probably wouldn't listen to his music for a while and be kind of heart broken...like how you start having feelings for a guy and he isn't who he thought he was heartbroken.

i wouldn't go as far as not be a fan of his anymore, and i wouldn't sell my collection either..i'd just shelve it until i got over it.

I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Prince treated me really badly if I met him. I would still be a fan, and after that I would have a really good "the time I met Prince and he was a real a**hole" story to tell everyone.

It would not affect my enjoyment of his art if I met him and he was not in a good mood. I realize that he is a person and has good moments and bad moments like we all do.

I remember one day after my wife's father died. We had been up for like three days with no sleep. I went down to the store because she wanted some caffeine. I forgot my wallet and all I had was my checkbook. The store WOULDN'T TAKE MY CHECK w/out ID. I threw a HISSY FIT. Called them every name in the book.

So if that was the only day that clerk ever met me (and indeed maybe it was) then I'm sure she remembers me as a royal a$$hole. And rightfully so. But I am not usually like that. It was atypical and I was under a lot of stress.

If I met Prince and he was rude I would assume he was under some similar circumstance and not worry about it. I'd be sad that our interaction wasn't pleasant, but it would have no bearing on my appreciation of the man and his music.

Sure. I've thought he was an ass for a long time. In fact, I don't think I'd want to know him. I love his music, period. Same for James Brown, who I didn't know was such an ass 'til I read Fred Wesley's book. The difference is, I'm not as big a fan of JB's musical talent now that I know he was far less involved with the nuts and bolts aspects of his music as I'd assumed.

Most people react a litte standoffish when they are approached by a stranger in the street. I don't think it should be any different because he's famous. With some of the things that happend to celebrities a bit of paranoia is understandable, it wouldn't stop me listening, i've had music artists be a little rude in the past but it didn't stop me listening to them. If Prince is out in public him wanting some privacy i think is acceptable.

I have said this before. I think I would just rather not meet him period. Unless it is going to be a beautiful experience between the two of us and he is taken by me like I am of him, otherwise I would rather things just stay the way they are: Admiring him from afar.

I am a fan of the music, not the man, so I don't think it would change how I feel about buying the music and going to concerts. He often seems like a bit of a tit to me anyway, so I probably wouldn't be too surprised. And like someone else said, I'd have a cool, I met Prince and he was a tit, story.

I might even challenge his beliefs and ask if a true christian should act like that to another human being. That'd make him think, then he'd be all like, "F**k yeah man you're right. What was I singing The Christ for? It's the cross for shits sake. And in Days of Wild, Dick bumping Liz? That's some ponced up shit right there. Larry! LARRY! I got something to tell ya..."

i would treat prince the same way i would treat anyone.i would say hello if the opportunity came up .and he would probally be wondering what the hell was wrong with me .because he would probally be expecting a crazed prince fan ..when actually that groupie shit you are suppose to out grow...and if he treated me rude then i would treat him rude to. you get what you give...that goes for everyone...yes even the purple 1.

I treat people like they treat me. Prince or not..
As a female..don't think i won't beat dat ass.. male or female..
But still I don't take bull from people and if Prince was an ass to me.. I probably would lose a little respect for him but as far as being a fan..i'd still like and listen to his music.
