Prince and NIN

My brother told me that Prince worked with Trent back in '89 or sometime during the "Pretty/Hate" era, but of course I wouldn't remember it. Does any1 know if it's true or not?

Not true... Trent only used some samples from his songs back then...

They closest they came to working together was Prince acting like an asshole and snubbing Trent as he walked by. lol

Trent really likes Prince and his music, but has little time 4 his ego - he thinks it's bullshit.

According 2 Trent, Prince had a copy of Broken in his car which he used 2 spin, and contacted him via his management 2 do some remix work (apparently 4 'Loose', or so rumour has it). However, after Prince completely blanked him when he pimped by one day in the studio corridor they wer 2 meet at, he washed his hands of it: 'I don't care who you are, that's bullshit'.

Trent last attended one of the Jam of The Year shows in New Orleans - it wouldn't surprise me if he does the same this time around. It certainly wouldnt be the 1st time...

A couple people saw Trent at one of the Staples shows... so clearly he is still interested in Prince and his music.

I would kill to hear a NIN remix of "Loose". Prince's other "techno" song, "Wanna Melt With U" would sound good as a Trent remix also.

I've got a cd of early PHM mixes and it has a song remixed with the "Release It" beat....it's a good one!
