I heard he'll do the show but only if she agrees to shelve the clip of her working out to Musicology, wearing a Musicology hat, singing the chorus, lookin' real goofy.
So far Oprah hasn't backed down...

it's amazing the impact the Oprah show has..after being on her show last week Lionel Richie's new cd which had fallen from #50 to #103 bounced back up to #47 and after his appearance on Oprah George Michaels allbum went to #1 on amazon.com and his greatest hits album went to #6..so it helps a lot Check it out ...Shiny Toy Guns R gonna blowup VERY soon and bring melody back to music..you heard it here 1st! http://www.myspacecomment...theone.mp3

So far Oprah hasn't backed down... That girl needs makeup! Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

I agree. Oprah definitely has power and she went as far as to call George Michael's album "the comeback of the year." Big endorsement. That's a designation I truly wished she had saved for Prince. I mean surely she's not oblivious to his successful tour and album. It's like she's going out of her way not to invite him.

Haha, I actually downloaded the whole Oprah show a few weeks ago and just got around to watch it for the first time myself. And let me just say, if Prince ever gave a gay performance of his songs that two-song medley of "Do Me, Baby" and "If I Was Your Girlfriend" were as gay as he has ever gotten on TV.

I really think that he should do Oprah. The more TV shows he does, the better it'll be for all of us. I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

Y'all don't sleep on Oprah - she can make a housewife buy ANYTHING Prince needs to slide through Chicago...

Prince should do Oprah. He should just perform tha whole show. Then you would not have to listen to her ask him annoying questions. That would make his album sell much more. Heck! it might even go #1.

In that case, then he'll probably do it! |

A few things...
First of all, I'm sad to be finding out here that George Michael was on Oprah, because I've always liked him a lot and am enjoying his new cd. I'm really depressed now that he was on Oprah and I missed it!!!! (By the way, his "comeback" is no better than Prince's...) Second, it would seem that since Prince is essentially spending a week here in Chicago in a few weeks, that he's geographically ripe for an hour in Oprah's comfy chair. Third, one would think that the latest details in Prince's life: his expunging of vulgar songs and lyrics, his public mentions of his faith, his marriage that seems more stable (and private) than the last, his public invite to fans to make their concert experiences a "family night...bring the kids"...all of this makes him RIPE for Oprah. About the only downside is the memory of how bizarre his last appearance was there. Oprah would basically have to agree "not to go there" if he came back on...no reminders of multiple personalities or the baby that was "all good...don't believe what you hear" the last time he was on (when he had already died). And I've got to say...as a fan...I would get hostile with Oprah if she DID go there. If it's going to happen, it will be at the end of June, logistically... Keith/Kacey
