Like from what era?
If we're talking Rave era, I'd just think he was insane and had no damn taste. But if you mean like Purple Rain era, I'd think the guy was just really feminine and all pretentious. If you mean like now, I'd just think the guy had style. The world is a comedy for those who think and a tragedy for those who feel.

This is a good topic in my opinion because I wonder what Prince himself would be doing had he not become famous. All I can say is that he would have to live in a certain area, I am considered sort of eccentric myself and I feel more comfortable on the North side of Chicago because of the way I dress sometimes, the southside of the Chi can be kind of ruff and seedy, so you stand out a lot when you are dressed different, and can become a target. I think it would be the same for the guy you described. It's really no different than people who are Punk or "Goth", according to the era you are thinking of, he may just be taken for just that.

I would think he was sexy and stylish - as is Prince. I applaud men that love color and style. Who says only women can be colorful - look at the Peacock -

I wouldn't necessarily think him gay.
I'd think.. hmm that's an interesting non-conformist. Would I be attracted to him as a friend? Definitely ... i love unique individuals, especially artists. Would I be attracted to him sexually? probably not. I like really masculine guys -- although if he were riding the motorcycle that could go a lonnnnng way ...

You have to try to imagine what your response would be seeing somebody dressed like that, with no other reference.

I'm confused. Is this thread about gay cats? If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Here are my impressions, by era!
For You - Prince: "There's a cute soul brother!" Dirty Mind: "Call the police!" Controversy: "oh, waiter!" 1999 - Purple Rain: "Rock on, 80's remnant!" Around the World in a Day: "Musta just got off a plane..." Parade: "Lookin' sharp, any day, any year!" Sign o' the Times: "That guy is a serious artist!" Lovesexy: "Damn, that dude looks smoove... pity, 'cause he'll probably be killed within the hour!"

well lets be honest here...if i met a guy who was dressed like Prince from his purple rain days and Lovesexy days, umm no i wouldn't particularly want to give him my number.
Now if he was dressed like how P was during his gold and emancipation days, i may consider it, i wouldn't see anything wrong with it, and i'd definitely be feeling a brother who would dress like how P dresses now in 2004. But its very interesting what somebody else said earlier, if P hadn't become famous, where would he be now? How would he dress? What would he had done if he had just become a one-hit wonder? I guess we'll never know, everything happens for a reason....lets just be glad that he DID become famous and has become a multitalented musical genius. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.
