Strange that Per Nilsen, of all people, would dismiss it as being just an unremarkable soul ballad...

Never really cared for the chorus. i THINK THE CHORUS IS KILLING. PARTS OF THE SONG REMINDS ME OF ROBERTA FLACK FOR SOME ODD ASS REASON. SynthiaRose said "I'm in love with blackguitaristz. Especially when he talks about Hendrix."
nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him." http://ccoshea19.googlepa...ssanctuary http://ccoshea19.googlepages.com

. That is one of the only things I dislike about the UPTown books.Their criticisms and song descriptions are sometimes way off.It should be obvious to them and all long-time P fans, that one fan's favorite might be another's most hated.Other than that, their research and continuity of P history is impressive and they seem to avoid the Hahnlike gossippy stuff. I was gonna say that!!!!! "I say the first intercourse, I say the first intercourse" "Yes I will" It's a freeeekin' crime this song didn't make it out into the big, bad world.

I was thinking along the same lines. At times, Uptown straddle a very thin line between fastidious Dragnet-like objectivity ('just the facts, ma'am' to the power of ten) and being unable to resist the temptation of spicing up the broth with personal opinion, which is a mistake as well as a pity since it pretty much undoes all their research. They might not do it often but whenever they do boy, does it show! Still, I shall be keeping a watchful eye on their upcoming output. Opinionated or not, Uptown definitely deserve our support. .
