A reason why we may love prince so much

Besides the fact that he is a very gifted musician. Maybe another reason may be because we've spent so many years defending
him and his music from people who may not see or appreciate his talents the way that we do. Do you think you've become an even bigger fan of his because of always trying to defend/confince others of how great he is?

not at all.
i eagerley await every new release cos i hope its gonna be fonky.
not because im going to have to explain myself to someone for buying his material.

imo.
Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!
woot!

I agree with the fact that I am constantly defending Prince and his music. I really don't have a lot of friends who like him or his music. As for me, I think Prince is one of the most talented and creative musicians there is. Not to mention the man is Super Sexy! Most of his music just lifts me up. I listen to Prince almost everyday faithfully! What more can I say? biggrin

I don't find myself defending Prince much except for here on this web site. Overall, I feel as if Prince's greatness doesn't need to be defended anymore. "It all comes out in the wash in time..." seems to be a good motto. This year has been a good example of the fact that the passage time has somehow enlightened people to Prince's genius.

I don't talk to much people, so I'd say no. But of everyone in my family, I am the only one who listens to Prince.

I don't know very many people either but the biggest Prince fans that I do know are myself and my mom. I don't know if she's as hardcore as I am but she likes the fonky one. smile

No

I haven't spent the last 20+ years of my life defending Prince and his music "from people who may not see or appreciate his talents the way that we do." I've never felt the need.
