Prince touring - Paris?

In the Sunday Mirror there is a couple of pages showing latest tours etc.....On company is offering tickets to see Madonna and then underneath it it claims Prince is playing. I think it said depating on 27th October. Does anyone know anything more about this?

It must be close now for him to announce a tour in Europe.

No dates have been announced for a European tour.

This advert has been reported here for at least the last 4 weeks.

As far as I know. so far no-one has reported that they have telephoned the number in the newspaper advert first to find out anything more about it.

Yeah, just someone ring the bloody number! I'm sure it must be a mix-up - I think someone suggested he was there 2 years ago on the same date so maybe it's a computer error...

If it is a mistake, perhaps we can all sue the company! The price of a ticket, travel, accomodation, and a good night out!

Vage, however I gave them a call.
They say it's certain that he's gonna play the Zennith on the 28th of October

eek

Anyhow, you can't buy tickets just jet for some odd reason, but around the 20th of June you can order you're tickets, but only with a hotel arangement !!

Grrr !!

Oh BTW their website says you can also buy tickets for Barcelona & London

Thanks. Although it says Barcelona and London, it gives no dates for those cities.

Le Zenith is only showing October dates as follows currently:

Mercredi 6 Anastacia 20h00
Vendredi 8 Billy Crawford 20h00
Vendredi 15 Calogero 20h00
Samedi 16 Calogero 20h00

... so it's a possibility.

(I will be in the US on that date, but I'm sure I'd book through NPGMC first and arrange separate travel and transport anyway if i was going to attend.)

The fact that they say they cannot sell a ticket until June 20 is interesting ....

It's still not right is it? Advertising for a concert which they can't guarantee is going ahead and for which you can't even buy tickets... oh, but we'll book you accomodation just in case. I wonder how easy it would be get a refund out of them if the concert doesn't take place or are you gonna be stuck with a hotel room you don't need?!

I just phoned London Calling and they said the date was DEFINATELY comfirmed and tickets will go on sale to the general public in 2 weeks but they can reserve tickets now although they cannot specify where the seats will be.
Now I'm really confused!!!!

Isn't the Zenith a rather small location?

I might be wrong, but if it's under 10'000 people I doubt Prince will play there.

Fair point ... the official website seems to suggest it can accommodate fewer than 6000 seated ... I think

Correct man ! Le zenith is around 6'000 people and it's absolutely impossible to have a center stage in this location. If he comes in Paris, he'll play in Bercy which is around 16'000/17'000. Depends of the configuration of the location. Whe he came in 88', with a center stage, he played there....

I emailed the company and got this reply:

'we have been told by very reliable sources in Paris that this date is correct.'

Yeah, about as reliable as the sources who said he'd be playing Glastonbury this year, no doubt. Time will tell I guess.

lol
I find it too hard to believe that he will play exactly the same venue, in exactly the same city on exactly the same date as the One Nite Alone Tour in 2002.
