okay, i just got done listenin to it. one thing stood out: to me, it had no....no oomph. the beat was awright, but...overall it was just...eh.

This sounds just like Fishnet. Note to The Time: "Dont do this to yourselves." I've seen a couple of posts saying that the new album is part live hits and part new material. Theres no point in the new material sounding like second rate versions of older songs. This isnt looking too good, and I was actually hyped about the album.

Sounds very flat, Chuckii Booker's done his best 2 capture his heroes past glory, but only PRINCE or Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis can really produce THE TIME, and what about Jellybean and Monte? Have they forgotten how 2 'produce' tracks? Jellybean gave "Black Cat" 2 Janet and Monte wrote and produced Alexander O'Neal's finest ballad - "If U Were here Tonight", snap out of it boys!

Still looking 4ward 2 a new album.

Good 2 see them LIVE in ATL opening 4 PRINCE last month!

If you don't dig this song, leave this post and NEVER enter any post regarding the Time again. Because this is EXACTLY how we REAL Time fans want them to sound! Take that whinning about it's "Flat" or "Been there done that" bullshit someplace else. Of course it has an "old" Time sound. What the hell do you think it should sound like? The song is called "Old School" for god's sake. Now keeping in mind this says it's a demo but I could jam this shit as is and not even trip. Anyone that knows Chuckii's work can also hear his style all over this track. Sounds a little like "That's My Honey" from his debute album in 89. Thanks for sharing this. Can't wait to hear the finished version of this jam.

Hope this is just a demo. The song really is just sorta there. Yeah it sounds like The Time and that's not necessarilly a bad thing but Dansa's right. It has no ooomph.

yea guys no offense, i'm not a naysayer....but this isn't up to par...10 years ago, maybe..but this just isn't up to snuff, it sounds like an old mans take on what's hip today....the time was honestly a prince creation...all of the hits came from prince...this is like Vanity "getting the girls back together" and putting out a reunion album!...u see, i love the FUNK, i love the TIME, but i dont want this apart of their legacy...that my 2cents, spend it if ya wanna.
