Prince at Madame Tussaud's

Just a couple pics I snapped at the wax museum in Vegas. Not a dead ringer for Prince, but still amusing to see.

We also tried to check out Purple Reign (prince tribute band / impersonator), but the doorguy wouldnt let us in cuz he said it was full. Then he let like 10 other people in right after that. So we stood outside the stage area and I tried to snap some pics to post here, and he tweaked on me for that too. Too much BS, so we stuck around for a few songs and left. They were really good tho, would loved to have seen more...

The wax figure looks like a good P impersonator...and regarding the Purple Reign tribute band, I heard good things about the show from a friend (also a Fam) who was in Vegas recently...

Saw the wax figure a couple of month's ago. Not very good in my book. I also stayed at the boardwalk hotel where Purple Reign was playing and they are very good. They won't let you take pictures in the building . Plus, the band charges ten bucks at break time for pictures with the lookalike Prince. He is hot and does a great P. Check them out if your in Vegas.

I can never understand how Madame Tussaud's can employ the best people at wax-working nd facial sculpture and yet totally fail to get people identical. Vaguely similar doesn't cut it - people pay good money to see identical replicas, not some store-room dummy with similar clothes nabbed from Oxfam!

The one in London's Tussauds' Rock Circus looks more realistic, but its still not that much like him.

MrPurple

the door guys at the Purple Reign Tribute band are a bunch of punks. They are always trying to regulate somehow. One of them tried to tell me that I could not go into the casino because I jaywalked to get over to the casino! Anyways, when they tell you you can't enter you can go to the other side and sneak in through a curtain door that is there. Be careful though because there is a Mom of one of the band members that sits there and tries to regulate because her son plays in a cover band at a cheesy casino. Don't listen to her!!! wink wink wink wink lol lol lol PRETTY LAME!!!!! They are really good though and I would recommend doing whatever you can to get in.

I've seen them 3 times. I've never had a problem. We always go on a Wednesday though and it's not very crowded. I have never seen a door guard there. I have seen an old ass security guard who stops people from taking pictures though. giggle That old goat had the nerve to try to ask me for ID one night. Hell, I'm 33 yrs old. I whipped out my police ID instead. giggle

The one in New York isn't that much better, a little stuck in the past....

but I guess it becomes difficult to keep the wax work up to date with his

continuous change of hair styles, clothes, etc.

Another thing of note, nearly all the photo shots of any wax work at Madame Tusssaud's

tend to make the model look less realistic than when viewed by the naked eye because

of things like the flash glare off the wax materials and the actual indoor lighting in the

auditorium.

Decent enough pics anyhow Tom thumbs up!

My 15 year old niece who looks older got in no problem with me. We kinda just stood by the door. No one said a word. The show is really good.
