I wonder if I have all those. I'll have to go through and compile a list of the ones yall

put up and go back and listen for the bass. Was Levi Seacer Jr. a bass player or did

he just play regular guitar?

there is a crazy bass solo, though the tone does not sound like your normal bass.

Eye did not know there was an extended version of Lalala Hehehe.

I heard this for the first time a few years back, when I found a bootleg online that consisted entirely of 12" extended versions of Prince songs. I love the part where the bass solo comes in because of the way he introduces it. Whether it's actually Wendy playing the bass on the song or not, he's poking fun at her playing: "Wendy, are you just gonna... are you just gonna play the same line over and over...? GIMME THAT THING!" Then he tears it up in order to demonstrate a proper funky bass solo.

The bass tone comes across weird because it was recorded like the Camille tracks (is it a Camille track?), where the entire song was sped up after it was recorded. UPDATE: Okay, after listening to the track again, I realize that it doesn't really sound like the whole thing was sped up afterwards. The bass solo part does sound funny, though. Maybe he sped that up by itself, and then mixed it in with the normal speed song?

Anyway, it's a great cut, listen to it smile

U Gotta Shake Something (1986 unreleased track) ...
no obvious bass .... but it's one of the greatest bass-tracks.

Metalorange did;

How about 'What's My Name?' from Crystal Ball. He's so happy with his bass on this he makes a point of it in the liner notes.

Also Days of Wild from Crystal Ball, 'oh, by the way, I play bass guitar!'

And Partyman - great bass and it is definately him since there's a clip of him laying the bass part down. Especially in the extended mix.

" Feel you up " is on sports radio right now. Always fun.

Levi was the bassist in P's band during Sign of the Times and Lovesexy. Some Madhouse and the Flesh stuff. Nude tour too?

With the first NPG band (Diamonds and Pearls), he moved to rhythm gtr for that album and the Symbol album.

He was also a VP of Paisley Park records or something like that.

Rockability

Not speaking of Bass heavy in the sense of bass complexity, but Erotic City is the most basscentric song he has ever done, even if it was a synth bass or not. The bass shakes the house.

Crystal Ball - some synth, some electric bass.

No-one has said Everlasting Now?

Family Name has pretty funky bass too.

Nearly all of TRC is Prince on bass.
